Since 1999, Jörg Heinrich aka George Henry has been working with Maroula Blades as composer and arranger in his Poetrykitchen Studio Berlin. The graduate computer scientist is a multi-instrumentalist and has organized numerous poetry, music and art performances with Maroula, which were and are presented on many stages in and outside Berlin. In 2020 he received a scholarship from Musikfonds e.V., at the end of 2021 he received a scholarship from GEMA, and in 2022 he has received another scholarship from the Musikfonds e.V. for composition.
From 2008 to 2019, he worked as a musician and cameraman every year in New York City – Harlem to participate in the international gospel workshop and social project to fight HIV “REACH WEEK IN NYC”. As a cameraman and editing director, George Henry has directed video productions at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Opera House in Gera for the works of neo-Romantic German opera composer Walter Braunfels (1882-1954), among others, in 2008 and 2011. In the SAE Institute (School of Audio Engineering) in Berlin, he has been a regular participant in the final exams of students as a studio guitarist for the last 7 years. He is also collaborating with Cornelsen Verlag Berlin on audio and film projects for many years.
Seit 1999 arbeitet Jörg Heinrich alias George Henry mit Maroula Blades als Komponist und Arrangeur in seinem Poetrykitchen Studio Berlin zusammen. Der studierte Diplom-Informatiker ist Multiinstrumentalist und hat mit Maroula zahlreiche Poesie-, Musik- und Kunstperformances organisiert, die auf vielen Bühnen in und außerhalb Berlins präsentiert wurden und werden. 2020 erhielt er ein Stipendium des Musikfonds e.V., Ende 2021 ein Stipendium der GEMA sowie in 2022 erhielt er ein weiteres Stipendium des Musikfonds e.V. für die Komposition.
Von 2008 bis 2019 arbeitete er als Musiker und Kameramann alljährlich in New York City – Harlem, um an dem internationalen Gospel-Workshop und Sozialprojekt zur Bekämpfung von HIV „REACH WEEK IN NYC“ mitzuwirken. Als Kameramann und Schnittregisseur hat George Henry u.a. in 2008 und 2011 Videoproduktionen an der Deutschen Oper Berlin und am Opernhaus in Gera für die Werke des neoromantischen deutschen Opernkomponisten Walter Braunfels (1882-1954) geleitet. Im SAE Institute (School of Audio Engineering) in Berlin ist er in den letzten 7 Jahren als Studiogitarrist regelmäßig bei den finalen Examensprüfungen der Studenten beteiligt. Außerdem arbeitet er seit vielen Jahren mit dem Cornelsen Verlag Berlin bei Audio- und Filmprojekten zusammen.
